Engaged Workforce

Picture this...

Anywhere in the world, people pick up a product off the shelf and examine it carefully.

One takes notice of one special feature, the "Made in China" prominently displayed on the product label.

Look no further, the product is immediately placed in the shopping cart.

It's a new world! Gone are the days that "Made in China" represented a developing industrial force.

Chinese products now have the quality, latest technology, durability, ease of use, safety, reasonable price, and the respect of the whole world.

Now, honestly speaking, isn't that a wonderful dream for the Chinese workers?

China has already developed a great deal, but everyone everywhere seems to feel that the journey has only just begun.

ALTEC Engagement Process

ALTEC has a robust set of courses and processes to help China's workers become world-class in every respect. As we all know the actual responsibility lies on the workers, and ALTEC can only provide them with some tools to help them be the absolute best.

To begin with, not all workers do the same jobs or tasks. There are, however, certain key competences that can be applied across a range of jobs and tasks. ALTEC focuses on those, with the intent of the clients' employees assisting in creating the custom fit solution.

Training skills are often listed as one of the 10 most needed skills for workers in the 21st Century.

At the front line of our approach is our On-the-Job Training (OJT) system. OJT is a systematic and structured way for experienced workers to train new workers to perform tasks without error. The benefits of an OJT system include increased quality and consistency, reduced downtime, on-the-job injuries, and training time for new workers. Of course, there are many more benefits of implementing an OJT system. Honestly speaking, this takes time and commitment from both management and workers, and shortcuts will only result in minimal gains that are not sustained. More information about OJT can be found in the "Experiential Learning" section under the Main Menu.

For more generic classroom style instruction, ALTEC has a proven Train the Trainer (TTT) system for other workers that routinely train other employees on procedures, standards, policies, etc.

Problem solving skills are often listed as one of the 10 most needed skills for workers in the 21st Century. ALTEC is virtually the only organization in China (that we know of) effectively teaching the "Advanced Systematic Inventive Thinking" (ASIT) creative problem solving method.
